​Beachstars is an on-site Wrap-Around Care provision for the children of River Beach Primary School. We operate both Breakfast and After-School clubs in our bespoke club room within the school grounds, which is a specially converted classroom in a separate demountable building. Beachstars is not a pack-away setting, so the children have a reliable and consistent environment to relax and play in. Although we are considered ‘Early Years’ specialists (running a large nursery on a separate site), we provide a rich, age-appropriate club experience for children right up to Year 6. We also welcome children on a ‘Holiday Club Only’ basis, where wrap-around care is not required. The Breakfast Club opens at 7:30am, allowing plenty of time for a hearty breakfast and some fun and games to start the day. The children enjoy a hearty breakfast of cereals, toast, morning goods and yogurt with fruit before playing quieter indoor games before their lessons. When it is time for school to start, all children (apart from Reception) are dismissed from the Year 1 corridor to join their classmates and the Reception children are escorted directly to their classrooms. 

The After-School Club runs from the end of the school day up until 6:00pm, but parents are able to collect their children at any time from 3:45 without prior discussion. Children from Reception collected from their classrooms by our Beachstars team, who then escort them back to the Beachstars club room. Children in Years 1-6 are released by their class teachers to make their own way to the Year 1 corridor at the end of the school day, where they are met by GNRC staff and escorted to the clubroom. The children sit at tables whilst a formal register is taken and are given a snack of fruit, breadsticks or similar, and a drink to keep them going until a later supper at home. They can then enjoy free play time until they are collected for home. Play takes many forms with the children encouraged to follow their own interests, play outdoor games on the playground, play with the wide range of toys, games and activities on offer, and those who wish to can take part in daily adult-led arts and crafts (see information tab for activity plans).

Our Holiday Club is open to all Primary aged Children who attend Rustington Community Primary, River Beach & Summerlea schools and may be hosted either at Littlehampton Beachstars or at Rustington Funstars, depending on logistical requirements. We will usually know which setting the club will operate on each day prior to advertising and will make this clear in the online shop. To ensure the highest quality of care at all times and to maintain the relaxed, personal character of our Holiday Clubs we impose strict limits on our numbers, taking no more than 17 children on any given day. We will provide a fruit and biscuit snack in the morning and afternoon, breakfast (Long Day only) and a picnic style lunch. Children have the choice of a wrap or sandwich and selection of fillings plus crisps, fruit, salad and vegetables. Although we cater for any special dietary needs, parents are free to provide a snack and lunch box if they so wish. All children should have a named water bottle on every session. 

Our Holiday Clubs operate on a two-tier attendance system: a Long Day or a Short Day.

A Long Day (8:00 - 18:00) costs £34 and includes breakfast, a mid-morning & mid-afternoon snack and lunch. 

A Short Day (9:00 - 16:00) costs £27 and includes a mid-morning snack & lunch.

Prior to booking, you will need to have completed the above Online Application Form for Littlehampton Beachstars (select 'Holiday Club Only' in the schedule section if you do not require wrap-around care) and have received confirmation and log-in credentials via email from us in order to use this system. ​If you need to cancel a Holiday Club session you will need to give us at least a weeks’ notice for a refund or an online coupon. If a child is ill for a session, we can offer a swap for a different date (subject to availability), but no refund will be given
