We are seeking to recruit to fill the position of Bank Staff Assistant. This position can be taken up on a term time only basis. We operate from 7:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday.
This role attracts an hourly rate, depending on qualification. The main duties include playing with children; taking daily responsibility for the smooth running of the setting; maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene and well-being for both children and staff; communicating effectively with the school, staff, children and parents.
The successful candidate will be: energetic and enthusiastic with a professional and engaging manner; an organised team player, able to work seamlessly with GNRC’s Directors and the school; have experience in childcare and/or education with proven skills in engaging and motivating children. Ideally this person will also hold a childcare or education qualification, but we would consider hiring someone unqualified who would be happy to train on the job if they have the right personal attributes.

Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner job role
Greenway Nursery and Rainbow Club, Horsham, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, fun, professional, and Level 2/3 qualified practitioner who is happy to have glitter in the hair, sand in their shoes and mud on their clothes. They will also need to provide nursery education to the highest standard. It is essential that the successful candidate has a sound knowledge of the EYFS, the ability to deliver an exciting curriculum and stimulating environment, and proven skills in communication with children, parents and colleagues. Experience of working in an Early Years setting is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Greenway Nursery was established some 20 years ago and is popular, respected, and successful. It is situated on the campus of Greenway Junior School in Horsham, although it is completely independent. It occupies its own dedicated and very spacious building, which is not used for any other purpose. It has its own extensive nursery garden with easy wheelchair access. The nursery operates on a term time only basis but also provides Wrap-Around Care and Holiday Clubs for Greenway Nursery and local primary school children.
Although the setting operates for 50 weeks with a 2-week shutdown at Christmas, the successful candidate will be contracted for 39 term time weeks. The base contract will be up to 30 hours per week (to be negotiated) and the shifts are between 7:30am and 6:00pm hours. Overtime is frequently available, particularly in the Spring and Summer terms, and in Holiday Clubs.
The ideal candidate will be available to start from early in March. GNRC places the highest priority on the Safeguarding & Welfare of children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role is subject to Enhanced DBS checks and references.
